Jackson, Wyoming
On Monday night we sat around looking at weather reports to figure out where the snow was heading. When we woke up early on Tuesday morning we checked the reports and saw that Jackson Hole got 6 inches over night so we decided to take a quick trip that way. We woke up Wes and his friend Matt and we all packed up and hit the road. The ride to Jackson was pretty cool cause we went up through Wyoming and it was in the middle of nowhere. Wyoming really is the cowboy state, all we passed were ranches on the sides of mountains with a ton of cows, sheep, horses, and elk. We got to Jackson at about noon and were able to ride at Jackson Hole all afternoon. It was nice and sunny and the snow on the higher parts of the mountain was pretty nice and fluffy. It's a crazy looking mountain because it's in the Tetons, which are very jagged, so you can see many cliffs all around the resort. After riding we drove back into Jackson which was only 15 minutes away and got a room at the cheapest and nicest Motel 6 we've ever seen. The room was real cozy and very modern. After getting some dinner we checked out the town although there was hardly anyone around. The next day we took some pictures in town and headed up to Jackson Hole and rode all day. We accidentally drove home a different way but it turned out to be way more awesome. We drove through Southeastern Idaho and Northeastern Utah through some scenic canyons and by a high altitude lake called Bear Lake. It still only took us 4 hours to go home this way so it was actually a good thing we went a different way.
